Founding Engineer

Meticulate is an AI engine that automates business research & analysis. We build extensive LLM pipelines that automate a huge chunk of the work that millions of investors, consultants, and business decision-makers do day-to-day. We’re a seed-stage startup coming out of Y Combinator backed by leading AI investors including Link Ventures, Cervin Ventures, and Leonis Capital.

Hundreds of professionals from firms like Bank of America, EY, BCG, and Khosla Ventures are repeatedly coming to Meticulate to offload work that would otherwise take hours. We’ve started to monetize recently, have a huge backlog of user requests, and we need help to get it all done!

The Role

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer (employee #1). You’ll be working closely with us (co-founders Joseph + Wilbur) on the engineering team and you’ll have significant ownership over the parts of the product you want to cover. As an early engineer, you will be all over the codebase, from spinning up infra to placing pixels on the frontend.

• Love to work with new technologies and are excited about solving challenging and unfamiliar technical problems

• Work hard and take pride in your work

• Thrive in a fast-paced small team/startup environment

• Enjoy building transformational tools for our very demanding customer set

Our tech stack:

• AWS for cloud infrastructure

• Python on the backend - Celery for task management

• React (Typescript) for the frontend

• Lots of LLM-related stuff that we can chat about
